Visitors type what they're looking for — a food pairing, an occasion, a gift idea, a mood — and Sommelis searches your live product catalogue and returns up to three curated recommendations with sommelier-quality explanations. Each recommendation links directly to checkout.

Most wineries are live within 5 business days of onboarding. We handle the Commerce7 integration, brand configuration, and initial testing. Adding Sommelis to your storefront requires pasting a single script tag — no developer needed for that step.

Our current integration is built specifically for Commerce7. We sync your live product catalogue, pricing, and inventory directly through the Commerce7 API. Support for other platforms is on the roadmap — get in touch if you'd like to discuss your setup.

The visitor types a single free-form query — anything from “Pinot Noir under $60” to “a gift for someone who loves Burgundy” — and our trained digital sommelier cross-references your live Commerce7 catalogue. It returns up to three recommendations, each with a plain-language explanation so the visitor understands why that bottle was chosen.

Yes — fully. Colours, fonts, and logo all match your brand. The sommelier's conversational tone is also configurable: from formal and refined to approachable and casual, depending on how your winery communicates with customers.

Sommelis syncs your product catalogue from Commerce7 — including titles, descriptions, varieties, pricing, and images. We enrich this with wine-specific metadata (tasting profile, food pairings, occasion tags) during onboarding, and keep it updated as your catalogue changes.

No. Sommelis only surfaces wines that are currently available and purchasable in your Commerce7 store. Inventory is refreshed regularly so visitors are never shown something they cannot buy.

Pricing is based on the size of your catalogue and expected monthly recommendation volume. We don't publish fixed tiers because wineries vary enormously in scale. Get in touch and we'll send you a tailored proposal within one business day.

We offer both monthly and annual plans. Annual plans come with a lower effective monthly rate. There is no long-term lock-in — you can cancel at the end of any billing period with 30 days' notice.

Yes. We run a 30-day pilot with every new winery, fully configured and live on your store, before any billing begins. This gives you real conversion data before committing.

No third-party cookies. Sommelis uses session-only context to personalise recommendations — nothing is persisted between sessions or shared with other parties. It is fully GDPR and CCPA compliant with no additional consent mechanism required.

Sommelis loads asynchronously and has no impact on your page's initial load time. The embed is under 30KB and makes no blocking network requests. It is designed to be invisible to Core Web Vitals metrics.
